Zumba Has Arrived at Blue Dog!

That’s right! Blue Dog Dance now offers Zumba classes for adults! Zumba is an amazing way to get your blood pumping and test those coordination skills all while listening to a wide variety of fun music. We have everything from some Latin hits to the classic Footloose. Curious about Zumba? Let’s dive into what a Blue Dog Zumba class looks and the health benefits of Zumba classes.

At Blue Dog Dance you will enter into the lobby space and change into your workout shoes (this helps keep all that Seattle rain off our dance floors 🙂 ). Then you will enter the studio, with a water bottle if you so choose, and find a space to dance! The beginning of class starts with some nice stretches and light movement to wake the body up. Then for the full 55 minutes you follow along with the instructors musical movements for back to back songs. At the end of class there is always a song to stretch and cool down. Before you know it you’ll be waiting for next week’s fun class!

This class is a full body workout! You use your arms, legs, and torso in rhythmic movements to create a full body experience. Zumba helps to not only build endurance, but also improves cardiovascular fitness. One of the best things about Zumba is the adaptability! People of all fitness levels (and dance experience) can follow along at whatever level they see fit for themselves. You are sure to be smiling in our Zumba classes (once you get the patterns down 😉 )!
